Album finished
Nov 12, 2009 Music stuffs
Well, it’s finally done.
I’m not quite sure when I started doing the recording for my album, but I’m fairly sure it was sometime in the early summer.
Since then it’s been sporadic recording sessions with Theo, and subsequent mixing sessions in between. It’s been a really fun experience, and Theo has provided the prefect balance of professional quality sound engineering and chill disposition. It’s been a sweet environment to record in… 100% stress free and inspiring in >1 sense of the word. The album will have 6 songs when it’s done. Another song, a cover I did of a song by Nicholas Barron, off the Candyrat roster, can’t be on the album, but will always be available on the myspace/here for a free download (once the albums done).
The six songs are as follows:
1. Discovery
2. Falling of seasons
3. Tankards of mead
4. Beautiful dreams arn’t hard to find
5. Isla’s Jig
6. Weatherly green, book of the world
The 4th and 6th are songs I’m pretty sure no one other than me and Theo have heard… which to me is exciting, since anyone who knows me well enough has been a victim of me jamming my rough mixes down their throats until I got some feedback. Some new material will be a refreshing break perhaps.
Anyways.. if all goes well, the album will be available for purchase in mid-late December. It will be 5$
It’s that cheap because this is not with the goal of making money.. I just want to get the album out there and in the hands of people who are looking for some chill, kind of off the beaten path acoustic music.
I hope you’ll pick up a copy, or at least check out the tunes I’ve got currently on Myspace, as they are mixed tracks that will be appearing on the album. When the album is released, the tracks will come off of myspace, but until then, feel free to listen as much as you want.
I’m writing this at school on one of the wonderfully comfy lounge couches, and class is fast approaching, so I’ll leave you with an inspirational quote:
Music doesn’t lie. If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through music.
